INTRUS-2001: Integrated telecommunication services
on September 18-21, 2001.

The organizing committee of the traditional Workshop of INTRUS operators announces that the fourth workshop INTRUS-2001 will be held in Dubna, Moscow region from 18th to 21st September 2001. This year the workshop institutors are a group of companies "Stack" (Moscow) and "Contact Company" (Dubna) under the auspices of ADE.

The topic "Integrated telecommunication services" was chosen by the institutors in order to discuss the details and development tendencies of the services at the telecommunication market, promising development tendencies, processes of services integration and integration of service rendering means.

The main topics of the workshop

The basic topics for discussion are traditional services of telecommunication companies:

• Traffic: traditional telephony, cell telephony, IP-telephony, Internet/Intranet, cable systems, land and satellite channels. Service quality.
• Hosting of virtual and physical servers at providers' points of presence. Data-centers, telehouses, hosting-centers. Agreement on the level of the offered service, service quality.
• Information services. Portals and e-mail shops. Information database. Paid information resources. Mass Media on the Net. Service quality.
• Billing and systems of resources control. Leased subsystems and applications.
• Corporative nets and corporative resources.
• Certification, licensing. Security problems.

The workshop is held under the auspices of strategical partners - the biggest in the world and Russia telecommunication companies WorldCom, Cable&Wireless, Comstar, Rostelecom, ROSNET and companies which produce hardware and software Cisco Systems, Hewlet Packard, ALCATEL. Russian Satellite Communications Company, phone services operators, Moscow and regional Internet-providers, representatives of state and public bodies will take part in the workshop.

Workshop Programme

The workshop will be held during 4 days. English and Russian are working languages of the workshop. Simultaneous translation is provided.

The following topics are supposed to be discussed during the Workshop: the main questions and problems of service development in telecommunications in Russia, the questions of collaboration, partnership and integration in work of telecommunication services operators, operators of traditional, cell and IP-telephony, Internet-providers, content-providers and application providers. We would also like to table the question on investing Internet and Internet-projects.

Social Programme

Social programme includes a welcome party, boat trip down the Volga River, a picnic on the picturesque bank of the Volga, and a closing banquet.

Fees

For foreign participants - US$600. The fee includes:

• Registration fee;
• Transfer from Moscow to Dubna and back;
• Hotel accommodation for 4 days;
• Breakfast, lunch, refreshments during the breaks;
• Banquets and excursions.

Hotel accommodation and meals for accompanying persons are extra charged.
The fee can be paid on registration or transferred to the settlement account of Contact Company.

Workshop Site

The workshop will take place in Dubna, Moscow region in the House of Scientists of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

The organizing committee invites you to Dubna - the Russian biggest scientific center, the town famous for its beauty and hospitality.
